The ancient Ubi Caritas chant is transported into the 21st century in this masterful setting for SSAA voices, slowly unfolding layer after layer of beauty, and gradually adding vocal polyphony over an ethereal piano accompaniment. Optional chamber orchestra or full orchestra add additional texture and color. Suitable for worship or concert contexts.
SSAA voicing is the audition piece for 2023 National ACDA SSAA Honors Choir, and will be performed there.
