Commissioned and premiered by the Brunello e Federica Cucinelli Foundation in Solomeo, Italy, this expansive 16-minute setting of The Lord’s Prayer in Latin explores various textual aspects of “Our Father” as darker themes give way to moments of great tenderness and father-like warmth. Can be performed with piano accompaniment (in score), but particularly effective with the available moderate-sized orchestral scoring.
