Dan’s newest major work, LUX: The Dawn from On High, premieres October 28 at the Peace Center in Greenville, SC.

The five-movement, ~35 minute work uses a variety of texts related to themes of dawn and light, light overcoming darkness, and unconditional love.

Three versions will be available (similar to Dan’s Requiem for the Living): full orchestra, small orchestra with organ, and chamber ensemble with organ.

It will be published by The Music of Dan Forrest, in a new partnership with Beckenhorst Press as distributor, and should be in print by late 2017. Vocal scores and full scores will be available for purchase through Beckenhorst and participating retailers, and scores and parts will be available on rental from The Music of Dan Forrest.
